Overview

2 Chronicles chapter 7 recounts the moment when Solomon dedicates the newly built temple in Jerusalem. After his prayer of dedication, fire descends from heaven, consuming the burnt offerings, and the glory of the Lord fills the temple, signifying God's presence and approval of this sacred space. Witnessing this miraculous event, the people of Israel fall on their faces in worship.
