Genesis 14: Group Study Handout

How to use: read Genesis 14 aloud together, then take the questions in order. One page is enough for an evening.

Overview

In Genesis chapter 14, a conflict arises between several kings, leading to a battle in which Lot, Abram's nephew, is captured. After hearing of Lot's captivity, Abram mobilizes a small army of 318 trained men and pursues the captors, ultimately rescuing Lot and recovering the goods taken from Sodom and Gomorrah. Upon returning, Abram meets Melchizedek, the king of Salem and priest of God Most High, who blesses Abram and receives a tithe from him.
