Isaiah 12: Group Study Handout

How to use: read Isaiah 12 aloud together, then take the questions in order. One page is enough for an evening.

Overview

The speaker begins with a song of thanksgiving, acknowledging Yahweh's previous anger and His comforting presence (v. 1). The declaration of salvation follows, affirming trust without fear because Yahweh is the speaker's strength and song (v. 2). The people draw joyfully from the wells of salvation. The call to praise and proclaim is evident in the next verses, where the people are urged to give thanks, call on His name, and declare His deeds among the nations (vv. 4-5). They shout and cry aloud, recognizing the greatness of the Holy One of Israel among them (v. 6).
