Philippians 3: Group Study Handout

Overview

Paul asks the Philippians to rejoice in the Lord (vv. 1-2). He warns them against 'dogs', evil workers, and those of false circumcision. He describes the true circumcision as those who worship God in the Spirit and have faith in Christ. Paul recalls his background, stating that he has reasons to have confidence in the flesh (vv. 3-6). He lists his credentials, being a Hebrew and a Pharisee.
