Psalm 11: Group Study Handout

How to use: read Psalm 11 aloud together, then take the questions in order. One page is enough for an evening.

Overview

The psalmist takes refuge in Yahweh despite being told to flee from danger (v. 1). He observes the wicked preparing to attack the righteous (v. 2). He questions what the righteous can do if the foundations are destroyed (v. 3). Yahweh's sovereignty is assured, as He rules from His temple and throne, observing all humanity (v. 4). Yahweh examines the righteous while hating the wicked and those who love violence (v. 5). He will punish the wicked with fire and sulfur, marking their destiny (v. 6). Ultimately, Yahweh loves righteousness and the upright will see His face (v. 7).
