Overview

Yahweh reigns, clothed with majesty and armed with strength. The world is firmly established and cannot be moved (v. 1). His throne has existed from long ago, and He is from everlasting (v. 2). The floods have raised their voices in chaos, lifting up their waves against Yahweh (v. 3). Yet even above the noise of many waters and the mighty breakers of the sea, Yahweh is strong and mighty (v. 4). His statutes stand firm, and His holiness adorns His house forever (v. 5).
