“Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17 (WEB)
God's Joyful Presence
In Zephaniah 3, Yahweh speaks to the people of Jerusalem, initially rebuking their corruption and pride, but later offering hope and restoration. In verse 17, Yahweh is described as a mighty savior among His people, rejoicing over them with joy and love. The repetition of 'rejoice over you' emphasizes the delight that Yahweh takes in His people, highlighting His deep affection and the calming presence of His love. Today, reflect on the idea of being calmed by love. Take a moment to sit quietly, allowing yourself to feel embraced by this divine assurance and joy.
