An Advent small-group study with minimal prep
You do not need to write a December curriculum. Set aside about 10 minutes before each meeting to read the leader pages, review the passages, and choose the questions your group needs. The guide supplies teaching, Scripture, discussion questions, and leader notes; the participant PDF supplies reflection space and a closing prayer guide.
Plan four Advent meetings plus Christmas
Schedule Hope in the week of the first Sunday of Advent, then Peace, Joy, and Love in the following three weeks. Reserve a fifth meeting for Christmas week and the Word made flesh. Agree on that final date before starting, especially if people will be traveling. Each session is designed for 60–90 minutes; minimal prep does not mean a ten-minute meeting.
If Christmas week is not workable, move the fifth meeting to a date your group can attend rather than losing the Christmas session. The five-session outline below shows the passages for every meeting.
