Overview

Yahweh speaks to Jeremiah, stating that even if Moses and Samuel interceded, He would not have compassion for the people. Yahweh instructs Jeremiah to tell the people that judgment is coming: those destined for death will die, and others will face famine or captivity (vv. 1-2).
