Overview

In Job 33, Elihu begins to address Job directly, expressing his desire to defend God's righteousness while assuring Job that he is genuine and means no harm. Elihu emphasizes that God communicates with humans in various ways, including dreams, visions, and pain, all to turn people away from wrongdoing and save them from the consequences of sin. He suggests that suffering can be a form of discipline or instruction leading back to a proper relationship with God.
