Psalm 4: Group Study Handout

How to use: read Psalm 4 aloud together, then take the questions in order. One page is enough for an evening.

Overview

The psalmist begins with a plea for divine attention, asking God of righteousness to answer and relieve his distress (v. 1). He challenges the sons of men, questioning how long they will turn his glory into dishonor and pursue falsehood (v. 2). The psalmist assures that Yahweh has set apart the godly and will hear their calls (vv. 3-5). He encourages a response of righteousness, urging trust in Yahweh and the offering of sacrifices.
