“I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to him, and were radiant. Their faces shall never be covered with shame.”

Psalm 34:4-5 (WEB)

From Fear to Joy

In Psalm 34, the psalmist speaks words of praise and encouragement, inviting others to join in magnifying Yahweh. Just before this verse, the psalmist shares personal testimony of being heard and delivered from fear by Yahweh, an experience meant to inspire collective trust in divine protection. The verse highlights a sequence: seeking Yahweh leads to answers and deliverance, and looking to Him results in radiance and freedom from shame. Consider the progression from seeking to radiance. Today, take a moment to reflect on a fear or worry and imagine looking toward Yahweh, envisioning how it might change the expression of your inner self.
