“A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.”

Psalm 37:23-24 (WEB)

Walking with Assurance

In Psalm 37, the psalmist speaks to the people about the contrast between the fate of the wicked and the security of the righteous who trust in Yahweh. Just before verse 23, he encourages trust and delight in Yahweh, promising fulfillment for the faithful. The verse uses the imagery of a man's goings being established by Yahweh and mentions that Yahweh delights in his way. Even if the man stumbles, he will not fall, as Yahweh holds him up. Consider the comfort in knowing that your steps are supported by a divine hand. Today, take a moment to reflect on a time when you felt supported despite difficulties, acknowledging Yahweh's presence in that moment.
