Zechariah 14: Group Study Handout

Overview

A day of Yahweh is coming when plunder will be divided among the people (vv. 1-2). Yahweh will gather nations against Jerusalem, leading to turmoil and capture. However, Yahweh will intervene in battle, fighting for His people as He had before (vv. 3-5). A unique day will arrive where there will be neither light nor darkness, and evening will bring light (vv. 6-7). Living waters will flow from Jerusalem, marking Yahweh's kingship over the earth (vv. 8-9). The land will be restored, raised up from Geba to Rimmon, and Jerusalem will dwell securely (vv. 10-11). A plague will strike those who oppose Jerusalem, causing terror among the nations (vv. 12-15). Survivors from these nations will come to Jerusalem annually to worship Yahweh and keep the feast of tents (vv. 16-21).
